Zoleeca Junior Member Posts: 1 Joined: 07/03/2005	Hi! I have a Soltek SL75KV+ mainboard with VIA KT133 Chipset (NOT KT133A), and I wonder wether it can handle a Duron 1800 processor. I know that it is a very old board, but I want to upgade a little if it possible. Please help me if you can! Thanx very much. Zoleeca from Hungary

eddaweaver Senior Member Posts: 1390 Joined: 03/10/2004	Hmm 105MHz × 13.5 would give you 1418MHz CPU speed. They'd probably officially say no, and those older boards tend to not work very well with Athlon XPs. The best thing to do with be to flash the latest bios, and find a co-operative computer shop that'll try before you buy.
