I have a Shuttle motherboard that will take at max a Athlon Xp 2100+ processor. I am currently running a Duron 850 mhz. Does anybody know if the AppleBred/Appalossa? Duron 1800 will work on this MB. It is a AK31A V 3.0. The Athlons are getting hard to find, but I found a good deal on the 1800.

That Applebred Duron's run cool as well (1.5v Vcore), and some aren't locked. They all use a 133 FSB by default.
Even the one's that are locked, can be overclocked with success. My unlocked 1800 hit 2200 with only +5%Vcore. Although for most tasks the 1800 is fine. A real nippy fighter
