Is there any way I can get Windows Mediaplayer 11 to work in Windows '98SE or Windows 2000?

Thanks.

Welcome to the forum

I am quite sure it will not work in 98SE, Win2000, I am not sure about.
If I remember correctly I seen it working on Win 2k Pro. But that was a long time ago.
Wasn't there a media player that came with your CD/DVD burner if you have one? That would be what I would suggest for a fix if nothing else works for you
Good luck

you may find this little player more suitable http://www.videolan.org/vlc/download-windows.html
eventhough they don't support 98. not too many programs do anymore, even MS has discontinued supporting the os.

Windows 95/98/Me users: Please note that these versions of Windows are not officially supported. No VideoLAN developer uses any of these systems, which makes them hard to support. VLC should mostly work with them, but some incompatibilities might appear. You might need to download The Microsoft Layer for Unicode on Windows 95/98/Me Systems. The two MSLU files need to be put in the C:\Windows\System\ folder.

Don't get wmp11. The highest I've ever bothered to use is 10. If it don't work in 10 I use VLC. VLC is the bomb! Why would it be a bad idea komrad?

I believe VLC will work with 98... I have it installed in a VM of 98se on this computer and it works.
