Hello, I am new to using a message board, and don't know about computers.
If someone could help me understand what I've done I'd appreciate it Here goes. I Had a Gateway pentium 4 computer with a 3 gig HD( long story)
now i have a AMD Duron 1200 , k7sok+, total memory is 128 mb, avail. physical memory is 46.12 mb. There are somemore specs. I have gathered if they would help. This computer seems to work a lot slower than my other and it has other problems.
The other computer was freezing up and I wanted XP Pro installed. This all came about from that.
Have I downgraded and they didn't tell me?
Thanks!

hmmm... couldn't find a 'K7SOK+'-motherboard...do you mean the 'K7SOM+'?
Are you using integrated/on-board video or a separate videocard?
Also, 128MB RAM is not really sufficient for WinXP, IMHO.
If you're using integrated video, you should check your shared-memory/frame-buffer size in BIOS...with 128MB of RAM, i wouldn't use more than 16MB for video.
