i have a AMD slot A 800 EP-7KXA motherboard and recently i was going to install a second hard drive and i accidentally put the IDE cable backwards but the computer booted up like normal and went to XP...it just didnt recognize the second hard drive...so i realized my mistake and corrected it but since i did that, the computer hasnt been able to boot up...it powers on and stays on but the moniter shows nothing and i cant get to bios screen..is it possible that this simple little mistake blew out the motherboard?? ive tried clearing CMOS, taking out everything nonessential but the result is the same...the computer turns on but wont boot up anything.

QUOTE is it possible that this simple little mistake blew out the motherboard?? I doubt it...try to remove the battery(unplug comp, remove battery, let it sit for a few minutes then put it back).
