I have an older K-6 P-2 class cpu as it is 400 mhz. Its a custom build. I was told at the time of build the max cpu speed was/is 500mhz.My question is how do I enable the temp settings and fan rpms, etc.I once use to see but are no longer available for monitoring?
Also can "possibly" prolonged overheating a cpu (the novice builder used what we believe now is a too small fan,has been replaced once by me and again by a pc repair guy)cause a pc to "hang",my mouse will move but I can click and nothing happens for a full minute or so. My pc freezes during winamp song playing/or anything at all etc.[COLOR=red] [COLOR=blue]Its possessed! Please help!!!!

[COLOR=blue]My system is: a 400mhz K-6, (P-2 class{from what I've read with at least 352mhz memory: a 256mb "Micron" module and a generic something else I forget...a 12 Gig Maxtor HD, Monster fusion video card 16mb.No case fan except on 250watt PS. Case will accept 80mm front fan...Will adding fan help anything?
