I have a Compaq Presario Model 5460 CPU in a mini-tower case. I have been told by COmpaq that the board will accept a K6-II-550 CPU. Does anyone know what the mobo switch setting are for the 550 chip vs the 475 chip?

Any help will be greatly appreciated.

You can get the jumper settings from Compaq. I found the link on the Compaq Customer Communities forum on the Compaq website. I don't recall the link to that page, you will just have to go to their website and dig in untill you find what you need. I did the same kind of upgrade for a Presario 5062 (K6-2/333mhz to a K6-2+/550mhz) and just printed the page which had the jumper settings and listed all of the board connectors. If you have not yet done so download any updated BIOS ROM available also.
