can anyone tell me where i can get a new BIOS i am running a AMD-K6™3d processor with windows 98 and the add new hardware wizard hangs every time i try to install a new plug and play driver - i've troubleshooted and come to the conclusion i need a new bios - /mad.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='mad.gif' />

The BIOS is not AMD/CPU related...it is a motherboard component.

What is the make/model of your motherboard? Can you post the BIOS ID string as shown on your monitor as the PC boots up?

tried getting details from boot up but i got problems with my monitor keeps powering off so i don't get enough time to get the details.

i've looked at the motherboard and taken details from one component as fllows

if this makes no sense i'll have fetch in another monitor next week to get the details from the bootup off till the 3rd

Check any of the BIOS update/upgrade sites to get one.
