QUOTE(MD Willington @ May 26 2005, 08:04 AM)If it's an older board, there are many factors to consider, ie capacitors failing on the mainboard and in the power supply, they don't last forever, and there were several bad batches produces years ago.
First call to action would be a visual inspection of the motherboard and power supply circuit boards, power off please, we don't want any shocks...http://www.badcaps.net/ident/
Everything is fine now, the PC works perfectly with the 600 Mhz CPU so definately no issues with the motherboard etc. It was just the 900 Mhz CPU that i was referring to cos i only have problems when i use that, are there any settings that need checking/adjusting that would cause the PC to crash? Any other tests i can do to confirm that the CPU is on its way out?
