I need some help people, i installed a ASUS P5A with a K-6 2/500 and the green light came on with the fans on the cpu and power supply. But no post and nothing else and the monitor stayed blank. This is a used but working mother board and cpu. I tried disconecting everything one at a time but no help. Im at a loss and put my old set up back in. Thanks for any help you can give me.

Dunno if this applies, but I know I had to set the ram speed to match bus speed or I got a no boot.

Try clearing your cmos!
