i have a K7 motherboard and I am installing a DHD1600DLVIC AMD CPU and the mother board can be set at 100/133 how show I set the jumper? also how do I check the temp once I get it up and runnig?

People get a bit hung up on temperatures. And bios temps are often inacurate. I always prefer to make sure the compound is done right and then use the finger on the heatsink method.

still not sure what setting I should use (100/133) and how many fingers do you have left.

What chipset is your motherboard equipped with?

The CPU is a 1600 Duron 133/266FSB model I think. Therefore if the motherboard chipset will support a FSB of 133 then thats what you should use.

Also, what is the "default" setting of the FSB?

chipset KT266a @VT8235 and it does support 133 FBS so I will reset jumper Thanks. So far I am happy with the look and feel. This forum has been a great help.
