I have a K6 3d 350 mhz and would like to upgrade to a faster speed. Do all AMD's have the same pins and will they match my PGA? Need to know 'cause I'm tired of being slow and sluggish with XP. Please respond soon before money runs thin, here at the board or at gregr1@peoplepc.com. Subject: AMD upgrade please. Thank you for your help.

K6-350 or a K6-2-350? Standard or CXT core?

All K6's have 321 pins, and will fit in any Socket 7 board.

the answer may not lay in your cpu, ive seen i100 pentuims boot XP fine. you may need a ram or harddisk upgrade to speed up your filesystem. XP is a memory hog and that means lots of swapfile on your HDD would be used resulting in a painfully slow machine even if you have a fast harddisk drive. how much ram do you have in there?
