Duron Mobile, Morgan core. Try crystalcpuid or wpcredit program to adjust multiplier. Maybe multi of 14x is max ?

Alright i just got crystalCPUID ver. 5.0.0.299Alpha9
& i just found out something strange, cpu id is saying that i have a current cpu internal clock of 500mhz, but the original is 1000mhz, is there any way i can change this back to its original settings

also i just figured out how to configure the multiplier with cpuid but everytime i changed it to 10X, the computer would freeze on me instantly, any idea on how to get around that?

ps. the max multiplier is actually 10X not 14X

yes 10x is correct. May need a bit more Vcore perhaps. The board does not provide it by default, and does not have any sensors for temp. Not sure if the 'wire in the socket' vs. bridge modding can be used on a Mobile Duron? Does it work on any of the multi's 6-9, then that is the limit.

Another proggie is RMClock which has some features for mobile chips.

i tried the rmclock utility but i see no changes after i apply the multi settings

also, any multi setting i put on the crystalcpuid would just freeze my computer, rmclock lets me apply but nothing happens

Wow well i got good news for myself after doing my own hardware investigations, and i came to find out that i actually have a 1000 mhz duron processor and was moded to b read as a mobile duron running at 500mhz, my prob is how can i set it back to normal or overclock it, because none of these programs you gave me worked, and how can i change its FSB if thats what i need to do

ok. that is good news(easier to handle I hope).
Unforunately the Compaq 06E4h board (aka. fic az31, kt133, non A) only supports 100MHz fsb and does not take any higher fsb gently, usually freezes around 105MHz fsb. 133MHz does not work.
Assuming the modding has been made by connecting/cutting the L bridges on the cpu die, you have to inspect it and restore the L bridges connections.

If it has been done by 'wire in the socket', then remove the wire.

Either way, need to remove the CPU from the socket.

Any overclock on this board have to made by physically modding the L bridges on the CPU to provide wanted multi and Vcore, quite cumbersome procedure as may need repeated attempts to get it right.

A genuine Duron 1.0 GHz Morgan itself should have no problem going 10x133MHz with the correct vcore(1.75-1.85V), 133MHz supporting motherboard and sufficient cooling.

yeah thats exactly what i have a morgan 1ghz duron processor(says so on the processor itself) but for some reason it reads 500 mhz

p.s. i believe it was done with the pencil trick because there are no extra wire connected to the processor
