I recently read a post, dated Feb 26, 2006 by TODDYJOE, pertaining to the successful upgrading of a 310ED Laptop with AMD K6 and other items. I have attempted to contact TODDYJOE for additional informationon that subject. However I have been unsuccessful.
I would like to get more specific information and instruction, so that I might perform this upgrade on my 310ED. I am presently running a stock 310ED which I had upgrading the OS to Windows 98 Second Edition. If I could perform the hardware upgrade as indicated in his post, I could install WindowsXP as OS, making this laptop very useful.
If anyone has info on this I would appreciate the assistance.

using xp would be a bad idea you need atleast 256mb of ram to run it anyway decent,
it will run on 128 but it would be extermly slow,and the hard drive is two small,youd be out of space very very quicky

the amout of time you would spend on this is not really worth it ,all you would do is make a very very slow laptop,just run very slow.

im just thinking,why put the work into a upgrading a laptop when the most you can exspect is it barely being able to run xp.
