I have had Issues with an AGP card on a Sun W2100z workstation under Windows XP 64 and therefore tried to download the most up-to-date drivers.
AMD themselves show to have a AMD 8000 core-logic driver pack at this web page but the links to the drivers are long dead.

Scouring the internet for those drivers gets me some downloads and happily I try to install the drivers only to be dissapointed by a message that a file called AMDPCI64.SYS, which has something to do with the AMD-813x Bus-filter driver, is missing.

Cancelling the installation of that single file still installs the rest but I still have problems with my AGP card and a nagging in my mind that this could have something to do with that missing file.

Does anybody know where I could find this file?
Googling it only gives me a lot of Chinese.

8xxx chipset as in server grade ?

Try googling it and see if you might get lucky and find a driver pack.

OR

Here is a thought, install win 7 or windows 7 server R2 and it will un undoubtedly have the drivers included.

Thank you for your reply, however...

I DID find the driver pack by Googling it (downloaded it at several different sites) but when installing any of them I get the message that it cannot find AMDPCI64.SYS.
When Googling that I get a whole bunch of Chinese websites I cannot read and/or websites I have to pay for, which I don't trust with my credit card number.

Windows 7 I would love to have but as you might or might not know it is not yet available in stores while the Release Candidates have been deactivated as of the first of this month so I cannot even try that.

I do however have a Windows Vista 64 CD I dread to try but I don't see any other option if Windows XP 64 keeps giving me problems.
With DirectX 10 (which my graphics card supports) the problem might be gone and the 5 year old hardware might all be recognized by Vista too.

Windows 7 is available via volume licensed accounts to OEMS.

Find one local.
