Topic Title: SB700 SATA RAID1 goes critical after reboot in Windows XP64 Topic Summary: Each time I reboot, one drive gets a new Windows signature and the mirror "goes critical" Created On: 09/28/2009 10:46 AM Status:

I have a Gigabyt MA785GPMT-UD2H motherboard with the SB700 southbridge and a SATA RAID mirror of two drives. I was able to install XP onto this fine but when I reboot, XP sees that both drives have the same signature (they are mirrored so that makes sense I guess) and gives one of them a new signature. This breaks the mirror and XP assigns a new drive letter to it.
