I Just bought the Asus M4A79T Deluxe and 2 x 500GB Seagate 7200.12 the Raid 0 using 128k performance is horrible ...

take a look



im using the lastes driver from AMD



is there any new driver out there?

Hi felipy2k . Your doing fine with the two hard drives your using in Raid 2+0 . My Seagate drives do right about the same as your 132.3mb/s Average . I cant wait to get my other VelociRaptor back in my case . Your Raid 2+0 is running fine felipy2k .

guys, thanx for the replies ... the C1E was the problem .. if enable .. all my sata/RAID going down!

Don't understand. "C1E... if enable..."

I have almost the same build from early summer. At the time I pulled a really nice Adaptec card and some old but still very fast SCSI drives out of an old HP Unix (HP-UX) workstation.

Now I need those drives and card elsewhere, and so your experience is suddenly important to me. What's the story?

C1E is a power-saving and CPU protection feature. IIRC, it deals a lot with the voltage. I like a quiet PC, and I can't afford to replace any parts right now, so I leave mine enabled and suck up the loss. lol
