Hi! What series of CPU are supported with AMD RS690/RS690M chipset? It is possible to replace the MK-36 (S1) on M600 (S1)?

The AMD/ATI RS690/RS690M are the first chipset product from AMD after ATI merged into AMD. Because AMD processors from K8 integrates most features ever belonged to Northbridge chipest, such as Memory controller and Hypertransport(onboard bus controller), so the processors improves its self-adaptivity.

What processors does RS690/RS690M support? Or exactly what processors can be connected onto RS690/RS690M? All the desktop and mobile processors from K8(including hammer) can be connected onto RS690/RS690M, but not every such processor could work, depending on whether your motherboard provides support for them, such as power supply, interconnection bus completement, firmware so so forth. I mean chipsets apart from your processors just play an important role but not supplement role.

RS690/?RS690M only supports HT1.0, even though M600 could work on your system, but its HT bus is limited, the proessor will work degrade.
