hallo at all,

i want to inform, before buying a new system.
In this way i don't understand, whether there is any dependency of chipset and processor.

I prefore the following processors:

    1. Phenom II x4 965 BE
    2. Phenom II x6 1055T
    3. Phenom II x4 955 BE

therefor i found mobos with

    AMD 890GX (RS890D) and other 890**
    AMD 790gX (RD790) and other 790**
    AMD 770 (RX780)

Now my questions:
Is there any significant reason for the processor performance, to buy a mobo with AMD 890GX?
Is there a other siginificant reason for the performance of RAM / hard disk / GPU (if i already have the ATI HD5850)?

thank you for help

maybe i have to reword my question.

I want to know, if it is possible, without performance degradation for CPU, to use the AMD 770 chipset?

All i found ist this:

http://www.amd.com/us/products.../amd-770-chipset.aspx

http://www.amd.com/us/products...md-890gx-chipset.aspx

so
Ensures flexibility to build platforms with AMD Athlon today and AMD Phenom tomorrow.

But what about Phenom II and especially Phenom II x6, based on AMD 770? Is this supported without losses?
