What is your current CPU?
Will your motherboard support the CPU you want?
There is less difference with no L3 cache if you highly overclock your IMC.

L3 is good if you have ample GPU power and need more CPU power. If your GPU is not bottle necked by the CPU then L3 negligible.

The current cpu is a X2 6400+

Well the asus mobo hase been flashed and it supports the AMD Athlon II X3 445 .
I think it would not be a problem?

If you play single threaded games stay with your current 3.2ghz dual core with 1mb L2 per core. The X3-X4 CPU's have only 512mb L2 cache per core.

The IMC/CPU-NB @ 2000mhz with any Phenom based CPU adds performance if your motherboard supports this.

I see no problem.
What GPU do you have and what refresh rate is your monitor?
If you already get enough FPS up to your refresh rate I see no reason to upgrade your CPU except non gaming and better power consumption.

Most games i play just fine with my old 6400+ only it hase problems with GTA4.
It cramps out so i checkt me specs on the http://www.systemrequirementslab.com/cyri/analysis.aspx site and i bearly past the minimum recommendation .
So i was chekking wat the store hade to offer and i findet the x3 450.

GTA4 can use 4 threads and I recommend an X4 CPU.
