I have had my AMD Phenom II X4 965 for a little over a month now. It worked fine up until a few days ago when it would crash and i would get a blue screen. sometimes it would start back up and other times it would immediately blue screen again. i checked the temps and they were always around 40 degrees i put my old cpu in and everything started up fine. Now the new cpu goes straight to blue screen every time. what could be the cause of this?

did you check the TDP of you motherboard?

Maybe your PII X4 965 is a 140 TDP version.

I am using unlocked Phenom II x2 555 to X4 B55 (CACDC AC 1049CPM) stable without any problem with AMD 890GX and SB850 chipset.
