Not sure I am in the right forum or not, but here goes anyway.

Having problems with comp suddenly not detecting my 2 data sata Seagate HDDs in BIOS (set to Raid1/AHCI). The Kingston sata SSD OS drive and sata optical drive are detected though. Interestingly, when I go into Windows7 device manager, they all show up separately. When I go into Windows Disk Manager, they all show but the Raid1 does not -- "failed redundancy" on one drive and "missing" on the other drive.

It seems logical that the onboard sata controller might be faulty, but eveything still shows up in Windows. And all drives check out ok in the Seagate test utility (DOS).

Any ideas on what may be causing this problem? What other things should I check out?
(Asus is of no help)

Custom build:
M/B - Asus M4A785TD-V Evo
CPU - AMD Athlon IIx4 630 (AM3)
Ram - 4gb g.skill
Sata Storage - 64gb Kingston SSD (OS), 2x 1T Seagate Barracuda HDDs (data)
Optical - 1 sata DVD, 1 pata DVD
PSU - Antec Truepower 750W
OS - Win 7 Ultimate, Sp1
