Thought I'd report a 'little' bug I've experienced: SATA driver version 1.2.1.317 works fine with my eSATA HDD, but if I install 1.2.1.321 or 1.2.1.327 => Win7(x64) doesn't see any eSATA connections at all.
This is on my Acer Travelmate 5530G laptop coupled with a DeLock 42465 enclosure containing a Hitachi TravelStar 7K500. My internal storage is an OCZ Vertex2 120GB (the reason I've tried the AMD driver is to improve performance, now that TRIM is supported not only by MSAHCI driver).
Does anyone have an idea what could've been introduced in the later versions of this driver? I've read something about eSATA and PMP in other topics, but I'm not certain there's a connection with my case.

Another anomaly that occurs with all the versions of the driver I've mentioned in my previous post:
I have a PCMCIA sound card (Echo Indigo IO), and when the laptop is booted with the card inserted, then the built-in Realtek sound card will become 'unidentified' in the Device Manager. And I can't make it install it's own drivers, since it won't accept them!
If I reboot without the external card inserted, then all is well. In that case, both sound cards are identified by the computer if I insert the external card later.
It is interesting how there's a conflict between the SATA and PCMCIA controllers with the AMD drivers installed...
I understand that this bug is more irrelevant and also harder to diagnose, but I thought I'd mention it anyway

Confirm this bug. Try this step to fix:
1- run sb driver package to extract, but don't install.
2- find the location your file amd_sata.inf, example my mobo sb750 with win7 is: x:\AMD\support\12-2_vista_win7_32-64_sb\Packages\Drivers\SBDrv\SB7xx\AHCI\W764A
3- Edit amd_sata.inf, find the line "HKR, "Parameters\Device","AmdSataPMDisabled",%REG_DWORD%, 0" and change 0 to 0xFF

Hi, thanks for the fix.
Been doing some research and there are many users complaining about this out there.

Any chance AMD deliver a release including this fix? Catalyst 12.2 is the second release SB7XX users are having this issue.
Shouldn't AMD fix this or declare new drivers are no SB7XX chipsets compliant?

I've just downloaded Catalyst 12.3
The issue is still there and this fix still seems to work.
