QUOTE(NetZeroZeus @ Aug 9 2005, 01:57 PM)It is the Linksys Wireless-G Router, model number WRT54G.....
I am using the Intel Wireless card that came with the Centrino laptop, and the desktop is hardwired to the router, I can't get the computers to "find" each other, and no I don't touch that services.msc.......at least not right now, I already enabled all the services again anyway, and it still doesn't work.......

First make sure that you have wireless turned on in the router, this is usally found under the wireless connection. Next make sure you have the laptop wireless card turned on. Next can the utility included with the card find any wireless networks, or display SSIDs? That makes sure your laptop is even finding the signal.
Now to the file sharing setup, make sure that you have both computers set to the same workgroup. This can be found by going to control panel, system, computer name, and checking the workgroup name. I recommend using a different workgroup name than the provided windows one. Next make sure your firewall is setup to allow network connections to share files and folders over the network. Make sure that you are actually sharing files.
