I have a Linksys cable modem connected to my first computer via ethernet. My question is can I use a wireless usb network adapter (The kind that looks like a usb thumb drive) on my second computer to connect to the cable modem to share the internet connection. Thank You!!!

im a little confused by what your asking but I think i can help.

you can use the wireless USB network adapter to connect to a router, I am assuming the cable modem has a router built into it? If not you want the cable modem going to an uplink port on a router.

Yes, USB or any type of wireless receiver should work assuming you have a wireless access point/router between the cable modem and your PCs. I have a similar set up at home.

In other words, your network should look like...

Cable Modem -->Router --> wired and/or wireless PC's
