ever sence aol-sbc restarted there new contract my modem dosent work nor does my router. They say my DSL modem is too old, well why would it work a day before. well is my new modem going to be faster than my 5yr old modem, if not i care but my router dosent work well so I need to adhoc my comps to sync music also the a64 xp-64 rig is acting up alot lately getting d cannot be written to lelayed write error, what does that mean lol, but it folds still.

Well your DSL modem is based off the older technology then it most likely wont work. The upgrade is what it says it is, an upgrade, more stability etc. Now I dont know exactly what you mean by adhoc the computers, what are you trying to do? From what I understand you are tying to put the same music files on each pc, well if so you need to setup a shared folder on each pc for the workgroup, and make sure that its shared with the option to allow people to change your files.
