with one server running server 2003 standard and exchange 2003... accessed by 200 workstations... each station running xp pro... which system needs what licsenses?
i always thought that the server unit needs one CAL, but all the accessing stations do not... is this correct?

I believe that is correct. As long as the server has the license then the workstations shouldn't need 2003 licenses. Just in case though (they have some wierd licensing stuff) I would try e-mailing their support, especially since I bet you are setting this up for a customer.
