I agree, we need a minimum of 21 rigs, 26 if we can get them, but TRP will have us beat in numbers, so I want to shoot for 50 ....... Remember peoples you can compete with more then one rig but they have to be in different classes, and you can only run 3 rigs .......... by last years standings a separate rig could be as simple as dropping a dual core in for a quad, and taking out a few GPUs........ its sticky and there is a special way we have to handle it, but it can be done.....

Would the phenom 9850 be in the same class as PII 955? Thay're both quads and both are air cooled.

Best systems get the spot light yes. But the top forum/team is what counts.

To the best of my interpretation .......... yes it is the thread count is what sets it in any class, ie quads = 4 threads, duals = 2 threads, tri = 3 threads our quads will also compete against Intels dual core with HT and the quads with out HT but not the i7 quads with HT, follow?

I understand there points method but I have a question . Say for example your have an i7 920 and run it in a benchmark with HT disabled I would think you count yourself as just 4 points on the cpu and lets say you guys for example take your 1090T and run it with four cores in Super Pi you should be counting your cpu for 4 points not 6 . Or I are they going to have us point up our cpu's as they are by default ?

as by default. Many of the guys last year disabled HT on there i7s to get higher clocks, but still had to compete in the 8 thread class. This also ment they had to run Sp showing 8 threads......... They look at maximum potential not how you are actually running it.
