Unfortunately for us AMDers, Bulldozer won't be out till Q2 '11 so we'll miss this upcoming forum warz to use them. Who knows, you might still see an ES or something end up in the Slackers section if I can get my 2P setup up by then.

But we don't need Bulldozer. We have some enthusiastic OCer's here ready to bring on the hurt, cuse we know we're in for a heck of a fight over at TRP.

Well it looks like the Thuban will be my upgrade, and I need to do something about cooling. My system is in a hurtlocker at present time. This past week it has been shut down, as outside temps, have been near 110 F and even with my AC on I can only get my house down to 88 F. Not good temps to overclock in, lol that dry ice idea is actually starting to look good ........

me and t_x_t r on the same boat as you sort of. temps outdoors r in da mid to high nineties with humidity in the 90% and above! the temp in the appartment is 78.core temp says idle 35 and full load 51!! we'll be happy in Feb though when temps go down to the 40 n 30's. oc'ing should go well then. i'll just open a window &.......woohoo.....lol.

Yea February here brings some extreme cold air down from Canada. Whats helps is the great plains of Kansas don't offer any wind resistance, so along with -40 to -50F, comes 45 to 70MPH winds. This will bring frost bite on in a hurry. I have always wanted to water cool, but because the Black Widow is my gamer, and I cart to lan parties. The Widow already tips the scales at over 100 pounds, I cant imagine how much more weight water cooling would add. Besides the fact when I transport the rig I have to lay it down on its side, I would have to have a sealed system to keep coolant from leaking out. Recently I have been considering liquid cooling the Widow, just haven't made that leap yet. I have looked at the H50 as a possible solution, but I dont think water cooling the CPU alone is going to help as much as a system that will cool the NB and VRM as well.
