Lol go figure I would be the First to Send Something to the graveyard.

May it Rest in Piece MSI 790FX - GD 70.

Died during Vantage run with FSB at 220. So I know it was on its last legs, after the last warz. My NB was at 2200, Memory 880, HT 1960 I think, CPU 3410, Stock voltages. Compared to lats years Run at near 4.2Ghz, this was the final nail in the coffin.

Ahhh Yes, the Forum Warz Graveyard starts! We usually have a nice long list at the end of each forum warz, so afterwards make sure you make a post over at in TRPs designated thread.

Also when the time comes everyone, we have a thread that we post all the Forum Wars Rigs in, and Raymo will make a video of all the rigs used during forumwars, but that thread also doesnt usually show up till mid Wars.

X are you still able to RMA it? I vaporized mine during an OC trial using the burn in test. They surprized me with the new 890FX board as a replacement.

I just got confirmation that they are in fact going to let me send the board in for "Service". So Rather then swapping out a whole lot of hardware I am just going to monitor what we have going on here from my P4. I am sure its going to take 6 weeks to get a return from them once I get it sent off, but we shall see.

The shits if it is, that my ss I retook of Cinebench is on the RAID set and I cant get to them. Viper does the 890FX board have the same RAID controller as the 790?

Let me look into that for ya. The turn around time it took for me to get my new board was a bit over 2 weeks, including me shipping the broke board back. Not to bad considering im in Pennsylvania.

You should be able to see the RAID arrays and boot to them to grab stuff off of but I would definitely delete and recreate the RAID array(s) once you got all of your personal stuff off of there and start over with the correct RAID drivers for optimal performance and stability.

I finally got an RMA number so I will be shipping the motherboard this week.

You are right I think Buck, your right anyway. New chipset in the motherboard and all I am sure I am going to have to reload windows. With any luck I will have the rig up for the second half of Round One.

PC-Guru, place me on the score board, and fill my scores in with 0's as I wont be able to get my stock scores up before the dead line. In a few weeks I think we can start the Overclocking half of Round One and maybe I will be able to post a score for that.

I seen a big difference going from the 7800GS to the 9800GT, of course having 2 cores instead of 1 didn't hurt either. lol
It will be interesting for me to see if having 4 cores helps it out any.

I'll be keeping my eye on you!!!! LOL

is there any reason we cant just do the OC parts and stock part at the same time ?

Not like we are going to have a overflow of info here lol.

If not, then I would say September 1st for all benchies.

Mean time, think I am going to find us a advertisement / get the team hyped specialist lol.
