AMD athlon X4 620
I have AMD athlon X4 620, windows 7. Whenever I choose performance mode from win 7 power options, CPU heats up. Asus PC probe shows CPU temp upto 62 deg Celsius. CPU fans revs fast - 5000 rpm. I don't overclock. still this problem persists.
Do I have to use different cpu coolers like cooler master? I am fed up with this problem. please suggest something.
Also which cpu cooler is good and 'within budget' in India?

This CoolerMaster 212 Plus is good and affordable. Also you can try to re-seat your existing heatsink. Use "Balanced" instead. Windows 7 is pretty good at this.

Does it go to 62 when you are just in Windows 7? What is the CPU utilisation like? perhaps something in windows is pushing it up? If it's idling at 62deg then either your fan is not connected properly (or the thermal pad/compound is not on correctly!). India gets pretty hot so I imagine that is part of the problem if you don't have airconditioning! I know temps can get to 40-50 deg C easy!

Perhaps another thing to check is your airflow - air should move in one side and get blown out the other side - preferably passed the CPU/GPU.
