I know a couple people have sorta started unofficial FAQs in a couple of the forum sections. I think it would be useful to have an FAQ section in each major forum section. Subject matter should be the standard stuff like what to look for when the CPU runs too hot, registered RAM required on A64 FX and Opteron, how to set FSB and CPU frequencies, etc.

That way a LOT of problems could be rectified without the regulars answering the same question (10) times per week. It would also allow someone with a problem to:

1. Learn more about PCs

2. Resolve their problem(s) more quickly if no one is able to post when they need the help, like in the wee hours or whatever.

3. The FAQs would have accurate info. to reduce well intentioned mis-information that can cause people headaches and money

4. Everyone could learn from checking the FAQs and known incompatible hardware could be listed such as brand, part no. RAM not working on a specific Mobo or similar.

5. Perhaps we could have quick links to AMD System Building Guide, multiplier and clockspeed settings, approved Mobos, Fan/Heatsinks, RAM etc. as many folks don't necessarily know where to find this stuff in the AMD white paper tech docs and it can be frustrating looking for this when your system is malfunctioning.

Just some thoughts.
