I there any way to set up a spam filter on this forum, or an ignore list, I find it virtually impossible to process information from this forum anymore.

I am not aware of any way to block posts in a forum. I know you can subscribe to certain topics and forums so you will be notified when a particlar forum or thread has a reply. You can also block PM's from folks. Lastly, you can choose how much info will be seen in a forum thread. For example, you can set your profile up so it does not show signatures, smilies, etc. in threads when viewing.
