I have an idea why people can't edit their posts in the Tech Guide forum..

I tested this on my forum and had an Invisionize admin test it on their forum.. it turns out.. as long as you disallow people to reply to post in that forum (since its a forum permission setting.. this only affects if you if the group's replying permission is disabled.. Tech Guide being one of them and this feedback forum being another) so something like Super Moderators and Admins (assuming you didnt disable replying permission on the forum) is unaffected by this.

IPB has 5 forum permission setting. (Show Forum, Read Topics, Reply Topics, Start Topics, and Upload)
if "Reply Topics" is unallowed to a specific group.. that group will be unable to reply to posts and the topic starter will NOT be able to edit their original post.. and it doesnt seem to be a bug at all as Quick Edit gives you a JS error so it looks like its how Matt programmed IPB..

but I'm sure if Support 1 asked Matt nicely he would be able to devise a workaround to this "problem" /rolleyes.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="rolleyes.gif" />

but yeah.. it seems to be the 2 function is somehow linked together making 1 affect the other.. so without replying permission.. you dont get editing permission.. but its not vice versa..

hope this shreads some light on this issue
