The processor serial number you have entered has not been found in our records and the processor cannot be registered online.
If this is an AMD retail packaged Processor in a Box and you have proof of purchase, please contact your regional Technical Service Center to request an RMA.
If this processor is not an AMD retail packaged Processor in a Box you will need to contact the company from which you purchased your processor or computer system to obtain any warranty replacement to which you may be entitled.
Not found in AMD database.
Ok what gives?

You need to input your serial number not the opn (order part number) into the form.
If you need to contact AMD you should find info on the page I've linked below but we don't deal with RMA's on the forum here...

OK thanks, looks like they will rma.
Do I include the certificate of authenticity?
Or should I copy it and send the copy?

Not sure, I've never done an RMA.

If you RMA something you must RMA it with everything it came. So yes, the auth.c included.

After ten builds with never having to RMA anything, I finally had to go through the process. After the worst experience with Abit (I hope they go underwater when the dam fills up), AMD was a pleasure. I wasn't on hold forever, the representative was polite, and everything was taken care of in 5 minutes. As far as sending everything back, she says their main concern is the plastic container with the foam pad. I specifically asked her if I needed to include the CoA and she said no
If anyone reading this is an employee, pass it along that I'm a satisfied customer

Hi there
I have been getting exactly the same response while trying to request an RMA. The Global website page I used asked for the OPN AND the Serial Number. But it still gave the same response.
I then tried to locate my regional Technical Service Center, preferably in the UK, but every time I get to a page where I can enter the details to request an RMA, it throws up the same response.
I've been trying to do this ALL DAY and have got absolutely NOWHERE. (Sorry about shouting, but it's so frustrating!)
All I have achieved is a few ticket numbers. Nothing at all from a human person.
So, does anyone know where or how to get in touch with the mysterious Regional Technical Service Center in the UK, or at least English speaking.
(I have an initial topic in this forum about my CPU problem.)
Regards
Terry

terry, i'm surprised you're having that problem. i called the 800 number and within 5 minutes had an rma number and information on how to send it back. one question, what browser are you using when you try the website? i had some problems with their website, and finally i went ahead and called and they said their website only works well with IE, and has problems with firefox.
do you need to talk to the person in the UK?
i was really impressed with the service i got. i called, 15 minutes later i was at fedex sending them my cpu free of charge. never had such a plesant time with customer service.
