I've been running it at 1280x1024 resolution with all settings on High except for Volumetric Effects and Postprocessing which I have at Medium. It runs pretty well and looks good, but it does lag some when there are big fire fights with lots of explosions and such.
Anyway I'm just wondering what settings I should be able to run at with my new PC.
Also, is there any way to monitor FPS while in game?

Hello people, I will be direct. I have a contact in my messenger, and he has a config.
Intel Celeron 2.66GHz, 1GB DDR a bad motherboard and a FX5200. He want very much run GTA IV, he says that it can be in medium, but he can only run whitout lags. I say for he:

Man, why you don't buy an AMD Phenom X3 8450 2.1GHz + Foxconn AMD vs A6VMX AM2+ (I have it) and buy a 2GB DDR2-667 memory? I indicated the Phenom X3 8450 because: He don't have money for Phenom X3 8450 + A6VMX + RAM, imagine a top processor and a Phenom X3 8450 isn't bad. The game he wants run require cores, a Phenom II X2, have one less core, than Phenom X3, and a Phenom II X3 710 or 720 for he, won't give his budget, for he is very expensive and we live in Brazil, here the things for PCs are more expensive. The Phenom X3 8450 + A6VMX + DDR2-800 will be good for his budget. My tip is good or I am cheating he? I'm advising right? I see in YouTube the Crysis in Very high running on an AMD Phenom X3 8450 + 9600GT 512MB, and GTA IV running on AMD Phenom X3 8450 + 8800GTS 320. I just want help him.

<begin quote>UK, March 4, 2009 - The Need for Speed franchise has been showing its age of late, displaying signs of senility as it erratically shifts genres and suffers multiple personality disorder. One year we're served an open world pursuit-based game, the next the action's confined to circuit racing, and every year the series gets further away from its initial position as the premier driving series. So how do you go about curing such an identity crisis? EA's answer is a little eccentric - you give each different strand its own game. Bizarrely, from the initial evidence it's an approach that seems to have worked. EA is releasing four separate entries into the series this year alone and the first to break cover is Need for Speed Shift, the simulation-minded offshoot that's coming to Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and PC. Already it's looking like a remarkably assured effort, a game that can confidently pit itself against the likes of GRID and Project Gotham Racing in the race for virtual pole position.
Source:www.ign.com</end quote>

It seems that it is another ProStreet type simulation game.
