I read that different Sempron processors have different memory controllers which effect the maximum speed of memory which can be used with the processor.

My question is, if Sempron 145 can run 1600Mhz DDR3 memory, without it will automatically clock down them to 1333MHz?

Note: My motherboard support DDR3 1600MHZ

Those are my specs. Ideally i would like a processor that can handle gaming without the processor activity reaching 100%....

For Example: I play a game while running a program called teamspeak3, when i run both my processor activity shoots to 100% but when i close teamspeak it goes down to about 80% and starts to lagg less.

Im planning on upgrading my graphics card too but that can wait.

I need to replace an AMD Sempron chip. The one that came out of the machine is SDA3200DI03BP. When I search on EBay, there are a bunch that have almost the same ID, except for the very last character. I see W, I, and others. Most of these are pretty inexpensive, but of course the "P" ones are the most expensive.

Does anyone know what the difference is with these? Are they compatible?

What is a conservative BIOS setting for this chip to deal with DDR3 memory, I think the memory is 1066 MHz Unganged Mode (2x 2GB sticks) but I have a feeling I need to half that to 535 MHz. I have an American MegaTrends Bios from around 2009/2010.

Sorry for being so vague; I can get more info if anybody responds to this. Just some conservative memory settings would be appreciated. it's set to "Auto" now but the system is unstable (reboots at odd times).

Symptoms: - the system occasionally :
- gives a bsod
- does a memory dump, often citing nvgts.sys
- pauses during bootup - at any stage
- shows the Windows flash screen extremely dimly while
booting very slowly - you could easily miss the "Windows"
text if not looking for it
- not long after booting successfully, goes away for a
period of a minute or 2 - no activity, response to mouse or
cursor - then working fine the rest of the day
- refuses to boot several times, stopping at the bios screen
or a black one with cursor

I've tried:
- memtest et al.
- swapping memory chips
- removing the (only) card - wifi
- unlocking the cpu

I'm just wandering which should be the correct temperature of the CPU. I always have around 50°C to 60, and if I were to use a higher percentage of it it would rise up to 70°C. Is it OK?

I Chatted with eMachines Support some time ago and the tech suggested that I use the Drivers for the T3101. I did as he suggested and this did not work. A subsequent Chat Tech advised that eMachines no longer had those old drivers and I should request them from AMD as the manufacturer of the motherboard.

The Device Manager shows no ethernet device and shows two devices with yellow question marks. The Properties sub menu shows

I tried F3-12800CL7D-4GBECO and I just couldnt get it to work at 1600Mhz with this processor/mobo (890FXA-GD70) combination for some reason.

Im not entirely sure how old it is sadly but it does seem like a very nice piece of equipment.

It had fitted a AMD Sempron Processor 3200+ 1.8Ghz but while cleaning the components of dust I accidently dropped this processor and a few of the pins have bent meaning I can't put it back.

Does anyone know what kind of fitting this processer has with the motherboard, whether it be AM2, AM3 etc etc, as I have no idea when it comes to these connections.

Although the system is basically a clone, and I don't have any specific model number nor did I get it from dell or anything, the processors is AMD 2500+ Codename: Palermo
and has done well with programs that needed faster processors in the past and present to the point of it being 2.5 GHZ or higher without overclocking.. But now it seems like it doesn't even mention it in my about computer anymore, and system requirements lab doesn't recognize it either. So what's the deal? Was there some kind of mistake in the past? Only problem is, this laptop is VERY slow! It's got 1GB of RAM, and I'd like to max it out in the future; but right now the processing power is what's killing me. It's idling around 20% and it's always around 70-80% when I'm doing something; but seeing it pegged at 100% isn't uncommon.

I'd like to throw the most powerful processor in this thing that'll work. Battery life isn't important since it only runs off batteries for an hour as it is. HP is a freaking joke when it comes to support for these, all I could get from them is that I should buy a new laptop if I want to upgrade.

I own a Compaq Presario V3117la wich comes with an AMD Sempron 3400+

I'm looking for a good app that shows me the temp of micro, hd, video card, gpu, etc.. At the same time, the app must show an alert when the temp is high or activate the fan on high velocity or something

There are app's but it only shows you the temp and that's it. Others you need to adjust the numbers to make it work; i want auto-detection
