Hey, I have an ASUS M4A79T Deluxe motherboard, and I am having some really bad internet speed. My internet service is Road Runner Turbo and I shoudl be getting around 10mgbs minimum. I am thinking that the onboard chip just is not good as I am the only one having problems. Looking at getting this nic to fix the problem. Will I run into problems? Currently running Vista Ultimate x64, looking to upgrade to Win 7 next year if possible.

PC specs in sig if there needed.

Thanks,

Make sure your not using the driver that comes with the operating system make sure its the driver from the vendor that your chipset is like if you have nvidia chipset/nvidia Ethernet Port then you would get your drivers from nvidia and make sure there up to date if you r still seeing problems i would then think it would be the built in ethernet port and u should then get a NIC i am using an older NIC thats working WONDERS for me seriously no joke at all i am currently paying for 5MB HighSpeed Cable Internet from RCN  just with using this D-Link DFE-530tx+ Nic card i am getting a constant 7.20-7.40Mb/s WooOOooW just with using this D-Link NIC.  OMG and i am for real.  What i did was on the NIC card there is an open spot for an older looking chip so i got this older graphics card that has a chip that looks like it would fit in the NIC card so i took it out of the Graphics card and put it in the NIC card it was a perfect fit since then i have been seeing Crazy High Speeds constantly over 7MB/s and i pay for 5MB/s here's some of my pics for speedtest.  : ) HOPE THIS HELPS!!!!!!!!!!         Some of the pics show you when i am on the D-Link NIC i get 7MB/s and when i use the onboard lan i get 4-5MB/s and i pay for Mach5 which is 5mb/s HighSpeed Internet....
