hi all

i installed windows 7 64 bit yesterday, i used to have vista 32 bit, scaling was ok with vista

since i installed windows 7 64 bit i cant get the scaling right, i have tried all different catalysts, ranging from 8.6 to the latest to see if i can switch on the option for scaling, but nothing is working

so you have an idea of what everything looks like for me here is a picture i took with fraps, for some reason when i took the picture the edges are not chopped off, strange, well here is the picture http://tinypic.com/r/14aetz/4 i have drawn on it using paint, the outside of the black line is what is chopped off, the resolution of what you see in the picture is 1920 x 1080, i have tried all different desktop resolutions to see what happens, even when i have a 1920 x 1080 desktop resolution that dont help, at the moment i have a 1280 x 768 resolution, i have tried some other resolutions too, but nothing helps at the moment

i had this happen with vista once but i fixed it eventually by messing around with scaling options and other little options like that, but this time i cant do that because it dont work

i am willing to send you a little donation if you can help me because i want this fixed but i dont know how to fix it

i have teamviewer if anyone else has it and wants to help me that way

or we can just do everything here, i dont mind i just want to fix this so i can be happy

thank you

Did you manage to try and turn on GPU scalling. You find it in CCC - Desktop & Displays - Right Click small monitor - Configure - Attributes - Enable GPU Scalling - Scale image to full panel size.

The option might be greyed out. Keep switching to different Resolution and refresh rates until it unlocks.

i managed to get to enable and disable gpu scaling working by switching to certain resolutions, looks like if you set certain resolutions it unlocks gpu scaling but when i select gpu scaling the scaling on my desktop goes wrong and when i open xbmc (that application) that is the same or it looks like it has been zoomed in on by about 20 times

i have not yet managed to get to scaling options (different) where this is a box i can tick that says use the scaling values instead of the customized settings when the desktop resolution does not match DFP resolution

ahh. Are you connected via a TV.

That's the Underscan/Overscan Page you are talking about. It's still there for TV/HDTV's.  page next to the GPU scalling page. You have clickable titles at the top ie Attributes - Avivo Colour - HDTV Support - etc
