This problem has been plaging me for a few months now and I cant really figure out what it is.

On the first boot after a long shutdown the first game I play will freeze about 5 mins in but after a reboot my system is stable as anything. The sound starts to crackle then it just locks up. All my hardwear has been tested by myself and the shop I got it from so I am at the end of my teather now.

This happened on both windows vista and 7 both were 64bit, bellow is my rig

ASUS Rampage II Gene (latest bios)

Intel I7 920 @2.67

Patriot DDR3 8-8-8-24 @1.65v

XFX HD 4890 in Crossfire

Corsair TX 850w power supply

Any suggestions are appreciated
