I have 4 HDDs that I'm running in AHCI mode using the AMD 9.10 AHCI driver. It cold boots fine, but when I restart, it hangs at AHCI Drive Init. It then reports that my 3 non-boot drives have SMART errors. At this point I have to press the reset button. It will usually then boot normally. Any ideas?
System specs: AMD Phenom II 955, Gigabyte MA790XT-UD4P (F6 bios), 4 GB DDR3 1333, Windows 7 Ultimate x64. |

During the drive initialization it relies on the motherboard BIOS and not the AHCI driver (msahci.sys, the default windows driver you should be using, does not load until late in the windows boot sequence). Talk to Gigabyte.
