Hello,

I got a problem aswel with my graphic card!

It happened afer a windows update I think and that was like a month ago and since then my AMD graphic card doesnt work. I went already to many forums but i still got no succes to make it work.

People say it happened cause of the netframe 4.0 cause that was the day before the problem happened to me. Well i deleted my drivers and reinstalled them and also tried it with catalyst. Now after a long time i got my Intel HD graphics 4000 to work but my AMD Radeon HD 7730M still doesnt work. when i delte my driver again and i restart my pc then it installs automaticly my driver and it says this:standard VGA graphic adaptor but still with a fail message code nr 10.

I also tried to use my recovery CD but it doesnt help to install my driver

Also not on the AMD website ( i got windows vista 7 64 bit) and when i try to doanload from the AMD site it gives me this message:

any one know what i can try next? My laptop i got now 2 months and 1 month without the AMD graphic card...

thx,

Dave

Its recommended to completely uninstall your current catalyst package. But generally - yes. You have to download 12.11 Beta 11 and install it.

My only knowledge to this is try uninstalling your AMD Driver / CCC again.

Boot up on Safe Mode. ( Must do in safe mode or else migth not be clearn )

Use Driver Sweeper , clear ALL your AMD Driver.

Then only try re-installing your AMD Driver , hope it works.

At least a German hardware site has reported on the problem so far, it gives hope that other sites may do so as well:

In zahlreichen Foren im Internet berichten User von Problemen mit Radeon-Grafikkarten. Betroffen ist offensichtlich die HD-7000-Serie in Verbindung mit einer Catalyst-Version 12.6 und neuer. Die Nutzer berichten von auftretenden Artefakten, die das Spielen wesentlich beeinträchtigen.

I am the lucky one since i live close to Vienna so I understand german.

Short to say the article mention that since 12.6 users can seen Artifacts, especially with HD 7000 graphics.

Thats true, but I was able to see artifacts since 12.3. first only in certain games, later drivers made the problem more visible.

Yeah, the news does not get all the facts straight, at least it's a beginning.

Also some results from my testing with Skyrim:

I found "flickerspot" in Ivarstead. I was able to save the game and after load the game flickered anyways.

a) The flicker is visible when I am looking on the river and waterfalls from some angle.
b) Lower AA and AF makes the flicker more often.
c) When the game flickers its more probable that game will stop responding and fails when my GPU runs on 1065Mhz. Back on 1000 there is no such problem, but on other hand, games without flickering will have no trouble with 1065Mhz.
d) Memory usage and Vram usage does not grow over time - its not a memory leak.
e) when i move camera view less than 1 degree in any direction the flickering will stop. This says that it has much more to do with shaders as well. AF and AA are not responsible. Not even texture quality and/or format optimization.

There have been observer 3 main types of corruption:
a) Black flicker
b) White flicker
c) Missing texture/transparency flicker.

I believe I got it...

Each texture has RGBA values. Shaders can alter these values so the texture can be darker, lighter - simulating shadow or colored light, and also can change transparency (alpha channel).

Due some reason shader returns "absolute values" like 255, 255, 255, 255 or 0,0,0,0. this causes texture to be black, white or transparent. I just cannot explain why some such corruptions show some patterns...

I would start here:

I'm having similar problems with my ASUS 7850. The worst games for me is Battlefield 3 and Borderlands 2 but I've also had problems with Civ5 and Xcom-Enemy Unknown. I've had this card for over 6months but only really noticed the problem when I started playing Borderlands 2 a couple of months ago which I've stopped playing it because it is so annoying.

Tried lots of different driver but the problem seems to persist. The card never gets hot, idles at 25-30oC and never get much above 50oC even after 3-4 hours of Battlefield 3 or Crysis 2.

I'm going to RMA the card if the next patch doesn't fix the problem as it is starting to really bug me. I bought the card when it was first released so it cost me over £200.

Wao that's expensive ! I bought my HD 7870 after discount was only around 200 pound too !

But are you getting black sceen problems like mine , if not i think its not GPU problem , its driver more likely.

Though my card is almost back from RMA can't wait = p

This problem should affect only DirectX9 games. Civ5 and Battlefield 3 should run well.

Here is a youtube video of my problem in Battlefield 3. I double checked and DX11 is enabled.

http://youtu.be/idPMkheg8uQ

I've only just bought Battlefield 3 recently and this problem is ruining the immersion. Sort of wish I had stuck with my trusty 460gtx and waited for 660s to come out.

this issue seems bit different. the flicker in other reports seemed completely random. in your case I see black lines.

What driver you use, monitor, connection, OC and similar...

I'm using 12.10 drivers but I've tried 12.4-beta12.11 with the same issue. I have a 22in LG 1080p LCD monitor connected via a dvi cable. I think the core is overclocked to 1050 in that video but no overclock on the memory. I've also tried on stock aswells as underclocking and tweaking voltage but the issue persists.

The rest of my system:-

I5 750@3.2, Gigabyte P55-UD3, 8GB Kingston 1600 memory, Corsair HX-650 Pro series PSU, 2xVertex 120gb SSD, 500GB HDD, NZXT Phantom 410 Case.

I have also noticed the same problem in Crusader Kings.
