I read that and most of those issues don't have to do with me, except I don't know if my other hardware is malfunctioning and making the graphics card mess up.  Is the latest driver for this card bad?  Should I use the older version?

Graphics Card:  AMD Radeon HD 5470

AMD Catalyst driver version: The one from Dell's support site.  12.7 I believe is the one I was having trouble with

Applications and Games:  Everything graphics intensive, mostly videos/web videos

CPU:  Intel Core I3 first generation 2.13ghz 2 core

display device: the attached monitor on my Studio 1558 laptop

motherboard make:  Dell Studio 1558 motherboard

BIOS:  IDK

System Memory: 8GB DDR3

Power Supply: 90W Dell power supply

Additional Hardware:  USB Mouse.  Grado headphones.  CoolerMaster Laptop cooling dock.
