i recently purchased a second hand toshiba salellite laptop which is running on the windows XP 32 bit software but the problem im having is finding the ATI drivers that i need for my graphics card to update. My graphics card is the ATI Moblity Raedon X1400 running with the driver version 8.241, this version is very old and came out in 2006 so as you can imagine im having trouble even watching Youtube videos without slowdown.

I have been on the ATI website and tried all their drivers and previous versions but none listed are supported by my hardware version which is really left me in a dead end because i cant even do a bit of light gaming or video watching without issues. If anyone can possibly find me a solution to this or if they have the lcorrect and latest version that will work with my card then i would massively appreciate that.

 

What do you expect? The X1400 is an EXTREMELY weak GPU, it was used as a budget solution for low cost laptops. You cannot game on it, and besides it not supporting modern features, is way to weak to accelerate anything like videos. There's nothing you can do to change it.
