I have tried from RC 11 (8.921.2) to 12.8 (Beta 9.00 Mod v3) with no success. It always ramdomly hang on every versions. Everytime was a fresh windows installation with only the latest drivers (Intel Chipset, RSTE, MEI, Lan, Asmedia Sata and USB...) and all updates. Nothing else except Unigine Heaven and Battlefield 3. Always an horrible hang.

I don't know what you want me to tell you. I don't have any issue's with my cards at all playing wow. @ 5292x1050

And I'm not even going to get on the subject of rage. That game is 100% entirely ID's fault. They have even admitted it to themselves. So anything as far as RAGE is concerned has nothing to do with AMD. ID suffered a huge backlash because of how !@#$ the game was on PC. Its still !@#$ even with there "patches". 

However I play the following

Crysis (all of them)

Elder Scrolls (IV V )

X3+ Expansions.

BF3

COD MW 

and the list goes on. My cards simply do not crash. I'm on a SSD. And WIndows 7 ultimate. I use driversweeper whenever I encounter driver errors and I have yet to have a single issue that is driver related with my system.(since I started useing 7950 in xfire)

The crashs that I do suffer come from me trying to get really old games to work. Or one of the several games I'm currently beta testing. None of which I am going to blame AMD on due to the fact that they are in beta and the readers of this forum have better things to read then "X beta" doesn't work, or suffers crash's. (That and NDA's and I can't tell you what games they are)

If you read my OP correctly, I have no problem playing all day long with all possible combinations of Crossfire X -X. (Except for the first and 4 th cards because I don't have a long enough bridge).

I see you also have two cards, have you tested with three cards?

My problems lies with trifire and quadfire. I know some people with the same setup as mine and they don't have any issues. But the other half it doesn't work. My setup is not common.

I had AMD for the last 3 Generations, I had 2 x 5850 with 1 x 5870 and it was crap, the 5870 alone was better.

Then I bought 3 x 6970, it was a nice setup but with many bugs, and now 4 x 7970 is the conclusion, will never buy AMD product again.

AMD is ignoring me, I will do the same. Next time, NVIDIA

Noticed that both motherboards are ASUS. I wonder if any other ASUS owners are having problems with their version 7 Radeons.
