Hello I have a HD 5750 and yesterday I updated to the latest ATI drivers. Since that my system rating dropped from 7,4 to 6,6. I tried uninstalling and clean installing the driver since the first time I just installed the one over the other through the AMD updater but nothing changed. I removed and reapplied my AMD Overdrive settings but it didn't seem to fix the problem.

My Computer configuration is:

Win 7 64bit SP1

Motherboard: Gigabyte G41MT-USB3

CPU: Intel Core 2 Quad Q6600 Kentsfield 2,40Ghz OC @ 3.00Ghz (333 x 8.)

RAM: 2 x 4GB Kingston HyperX DDR3 1333Ghz

Graphics: Radeon HD 5750 RV840

PS: I would also be thankful for any AMD Overdrive settings and tips

My God! WEI went down?! You spent all that money to run the WEI?

Seriously, play a game.

I did it try it and noticed a small drop in FPS but I wasn't sure. I know WEI isn't that accurate but it is a benchmark after all.

went back to 12.8 which I already had in Local Disk/AMD/Support but my system rating is still at 6.6 instead of 7.4 is there any chance my graphics card got damaged somehow?

I completely uninstalled AMD catalyst from Remove Programs and I also uninstalled the drivers from the Device Manager before reinstalling 12.8

Try the following:

  • Download CCC again (to rule out corruption in the download that you currently have)
  • Download/install Driver Fusion
  • Uninstall CCC completely
  • Reboot into safe mode
  • Right-click Driver Fusion choose "Run as Administrator"
  • Select AMD Graphics
  • Select Analyze
  • Select Clean
  • Reboot when prompted (into your regular OS)
  • Install CCC
  • Reboot 2-3 times before opening CCC up to allow it to complete configuring itself in the background.
  • Re-test

Dude... don't worry about it.  If the machine behaves well and isn't causing you any problems, then you can forget about WEI.  It wasn't designed to be the same kind of benchmark like the kind you see used in CPU or video card reviews.  Those separate the differences in hardware and actually show you what the performance of a machine could be.  WEI was designed only to classify a machine as part of one arbitrarily defined group or another.
