Hello,

I own an ASUS 7970 reference graphics card and i am ready to buy the ASUS VG278HE which supports 144Hz but i heard that amd does not support that kind of refresh rate and is limited to 120Hz. Is this true? is any way to bypass this and actually run the monitor to the optimal refresh rate of 144Hz?

I'd say don't bother with the 144hz display.  Unless you can manage to always stay above 120 frames per second(which is kind of a crazy goal to begin with), then that extra 24hz isn't doing you any good anyway.
