hi, I hope u can help me, I have seen a lot of topics about this, but none as far as I can see using hdmi monitors

I have a sapphire radeon 797 card with 2 x mDP 1 HDMI and 1 DVI connection

iam currently using a Samsung s23a700 3d monitor with a straight DVD - DVI cable, it also has a HDMI connection on back

I have bought 2 more monitors, 2 x Samsung s23b550 ones, with just HDMI and VGA connections

I bought 2 x mini display port to HDMI cables, and the pc sees all 3 monitors but will only display on any 2 of them, not 3

what do I need to do for this to work, some sort of active adaptor, but all is ee is display port active adaptor to dvi?

any help would be amazing, thanks

dp-hdmi cable can be considered a 'passive dp adapter', you need atleast one active.

So if I kept 1 monitor with dvi to dvi cable

1 monitor with mini display port  to hdmi 

And change the 3rd to an active mini display port adaptor to dvi and then plug in a dvi to hdmi cable into that, that will work u think?

That should work.
