hey, i want to buy a SACD capable receiver, and i have a lot of SACD iso on my pc. but i dont know if the AMD graphics cards can stream the DSD format throught HDMI 1.4 to the AVR.

 

i cant find anything on the internet though.

does anyone can help me?

Unfortuntely, you can't use the video card as just an audio-source.

hm? despite the games, im using vga's audio... dont even have installed the crappy realtek hdmi driver....

since the vga bitstream lpcm, dolby truehd and DTS -hd, why not DSD? if it doesnt stream DSD, it would be sad.

well, im using the 6670 as a HTPC. i hook the 1.4 hdmi to a digital receiver, and then i can use radeon's dolby true HD and DTS-MA, plus LPCM 8 channel. so, im trying to buy another receiver, this one can decode DSD, the Super Audio CD format; so, since i have some SACD iso on pc, i would like to know if Radeon can bitstream this format, the DSD. 

So you connected the HD6670 with HDMI v1.4 cable to your receiver, and were able to get those audio formats you listed.

> Were you playing a video file that had those formats, or just an audio file?
