Hello, I have a HD 5970 and I'm not sure if there is something wrong with it or now. Sometimes I get glitches on Dota2 and flickering on some games on fullscreen modes (not windowed) and now I'm having some difficulties with a java game (Salem MMO)  so I want to do a benchmark kinda thing.

My computer config is
i5 2500K @ 4200 (prime95 done)
2x4gb Corsair Vengeance 1600MHz
Asus Maximus IV Gene-Z
Powercolor HD5970
1920x1080 resolution

That is odd. You could try running 3dmark 11 and compare your scores to that of other 5970 owners.  It sounds more like a software problem than  a hardware problem. DOTA is still in beta i believe and may have graphic issues, and as for the java game have you tried updating to the most current java patch?
